Custom Inbox filters in Azeer allow you to create and manage tailored conversation lists based on predefined filters. By applying specific conditions and grouping logic, you can organize your workspace to efficiently manage contacts and conversations.

Whether you want to focus on unassigned chats, VIP tags, or conversations with recent activity, Custom Inboxes help you tackle your to-do list as quickly as possible.

How to Create a Custom Inbox

Follow these steps to create a Custom Inbox:

  1. Navigate to the Inbox Module:
    • Go to your main Inbox view.
    • Click on "Create Custom Inbox" under the Custom Inbox section.
  2. Add Filters:

    Click on "Add Filter" to set specific criteria. Combine multiple filters or group them logically.

    Available Filter Options:

    • Assignee:
      • Unassigned to anyone
      • Assigned to anyone
      • Assigned to a specific user or team
    • Creation Date: Date range or specific date.
    • Last Activity Date: Based on the most recent message.
    • Tags: Multi-select tags.
    • Status: Open, Closed, or Snoozed.
    • Read Status: Read/Unread conversations.
    • Custom Attributes: Filter contacts based on custom attribute fields.
    • Country Code: Filter contacts based on country code.
  3. Group Filters Using Logic:
    • Use AND conditions to ensure all criteria are met.
    • Use OR conditions for alternative filtering criteria.
    • Click on "Add Filter Group" to combine sets of conditions.

    Example Scenario:

    Group 1: Tags = "VIP" AND Last Activity = "Within 7 days"

    Group 2: Assigned to John OR Country = "USA"

    Result: Conversations meeting either Group 1 or Group 2 conditions will appear.

  4. Save Your Custom Inbox:
    • Click on "Save as New Inbox" after configuring filters.
    • Name your Custom Inbox and set its visibility:
      • Private: Only you can access.
      • Public: Visible to everyone (upcoming feature).
      • Shared: Share with specific users or teams (upcoming feature).


Using and Editing Custom Inboxes

  • Accessing Custom Inboxes: Saved Custom Inboxes appear in the Custom Inbox section. Click to view filtered conversations.
  • Editing a Custom Inbox: Use the Actions menu to rename or modify filters. Unsaved changes will display an "Unsaved" status.
  • Resetting Filters: Use the Reset option to clear filters before saving.
  • Deleting a Custom Inbox: Use the Delete option. Note that deletion is permanent.

Examples of Use Cases

  • Unassigned Conversations:
    • Filter: Assignee → Unassigned to anyone
  • High-Priority VIP Contacts:
    • Filter Group: Tags = VIP AND Last Activity = Within 7 days
  • Country-Based Filters:
    • Filter: Country Code = USA
  • Team-Specific Conversations:
    • Filter: Assignee → Assigned to Team

Grouping and Conditional Logic

Custom Inboxes support advanced grouping:

  • AND Condition: All criteria must be true.
  • OR Condition: Any condition can be true.
  • Nested Logic: Combine AND and OR for complex rules.

Example: Tags = "VIP" AND (Last Activity = "Within 7 days" OR Assigned to John)

Key Notes

  • Filters only apply after saving the Custom Inbox.
  • Ongoing chats are not affected while filters are being configured.
